Citizen Teachers from Boston Consulting Group taught our 8th grade students how to take on the role of consultants. Together, they worked to answer some questions for the Chicago Bulls, such as why are the Chicago Bulls losing fans, why are people not attending their home games at the United Center at the same rates as before, and what can the Chicago Bulls do to get people out to their games again?
During the Save the Bulls Apprenticeship students approached the problem with a data-driven, collaborative and solution- oriented mindset. Our 8th graders learned the process that BCG Citizen Teachers go through every day at the office to solve the problems challenging their clients’ business. Armed with passionate and eager volunteers, the Save the Bulls Apprenticeship participated at Citizen Schools’ Regional WOW! and presented their work, data and solutions to an audience of supporters at Motorola Mobility’s office.
