As the school year comes to a close, our students at Citizen Schools New York are beginning to look towards the future. On June 19th, a group of Morgan Stanley volunteers visited our 6th and 7th grade students at Renaissance School of the Arts to provide advice and guidance through the Game of Life: Middle School Edition.
As an adaption of the popular board game, The Game of Life: Middle School Edition exposes students to the New York City high school application process. The game also serves as an excellent bonding activity between our students and the volunteers. The afternoon was full of laughter, fun, and insightful conversations.
A Morgan Stanley volunteer shared how he enjoyed having the chance to make a personal connection with young people. By the end of the event, volunteers left motivated to be part of a team of supportive mentors. Thank you to all of the Morgan Stanley volunteers that attended and we look forward to continue closing the opportunity gap with them!
