Citizen Schools values the privacy of its donors. This policy is designed to explain the ways in which Citizen Schools collects, stores, and uses donor information. For the purposes of this policy, “Donor Information” refers to:
Personally Identifiable Information, which is defined as information that can be used to distinguish or trace an individual’s identity, either alone or when combined with other personal or identifying information that is linked or linkable to a specific individual.
- Donation Information, which is defined as the amount, date, and frequency of any charitable giving to Citizen Schools.
Collection of Donor Information & Third Party Involvement
Donations by Credit Card
Donations via Annual Appeal, Pledge Cards, or Fundraising Event Contributions
Citizen Schools employees and volunteers may collect information you submit as part of a pledge card, annual appeal, or by attending one of our Fundraising events. We may also collect such information as your name, address, and donation amount for any checks sent directly to Citizen Schools.
Newsletter and Other Mailing Lists
Electronic distribution of the Citizen Schools monthly newsletter and other e-mail notices are provided by Constant Contact. Constant Contact collects information on behalf of Citizen Schools, and does not disclose it to any party other than Citizen Schools.
Storage of Donor Information
Information about our donors, including personally identifiable information and donation history, is stored in our internal CRM system. This system can only be accessed by authorized Citizen Schools staff members, and donor information is treated with respect and confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
Use of Donor Information
Citizen Schools is committed to protecting your privacy. We will not sell, trade, or share your personal information, collected on the website or through any other business activities with Citizen Schools staff.
Citizen Schools will never send you mailings on behalf of other organizations.
