The Writing Program is the cornerstone of Eighth Grade Academy. Students receive 1:1 tutoring in the Writing Program, develop 21st century skills in the Apprenticeship program, navigate a rigorous high school choice process, and attend weekend college visits. Every element of 8GA is focused on providing students with access to a variety of college and career pathways and building students’ academic and professional skills to ensure they are prepared for high school, college, and career.

Through the Writing Program, students receive personalized academic support, connect with a mentor from the Greater Boston community, and develop the skills they’ll need to successfully transition to high school next year.
