US2020

Citizen Schools' US2020 initiative, which was launched in 2013 in collaboration with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, reached more than 15,000 students in ten cities through our local and national partners.

STEM Education

In August, US2020 hosted the second annual STEM Symposium at the White House. The symposium, sponsored by Chevron and Tata Consultancy Services, highlighted best practices in innovative public-private partnerships that have the ability to scale.

State & Federal Advocacy

In collaboration with Akin Gump and our coalition partners, Citizen Schools advocated for state and federal policies that support national service, promote expanded learning time, and raise awareness for the importance of the middle school years.
