Planning an Apprenticeship
The following resources will be helpful in building your understanding of the Citizen Schools apprenticeship program, as well as your own apprenticeship.
- Here is a list of successful Apprenticeships from years past. Get some great ideas for your own Apprenticeship by looking at the variety of subjects that can be taught, and then use your imagination to dream up what you could teach!

- Here are some example curricula from past apprenticeships. These curriculum are extensive; yours may look very different. However, the timing, activities and planning will give you a sense for what you can accomplish during your apprenticeship, and how you might structure each apprenticeship day.
- While many Citizen Teachers enjoy creating their own apprenticeship curriculum, others appreciate the opportunity to teach an apprenticeship using available curriculum provided by Citizen Schools.

Teaching Your Apprenticeship

- Classroom Management techniques are how an adult organizes students, space, time and materials so that instruction in content and student learning can take place. This resource provides some tips for keeping apprentices organized and on task throughout the apprenticeship, and is based upon behavior management strategies that have worked well for Citizen Teachers in the past.

- All Citizen Teachers are given a budget they can use to purchase materials for their Apprenticeship. You should talk with your Team Leader to identify materials that may already be on campus, and those which are best to purchase. You must use this reimbursement form to be reimbursed for expenses.
