  Bryce Bowman

  Executive Director, Citizen Schools Chicago

  Bryce comes to Citizen Schools with a wealth of experience in education, the private sector, and the military. He previously served as Director of Operations and Real Estate for LEARN Charter Network of Schools in Chicago while completing the Broad Residency in Urban Education.

  Prior to the Broad Residency, Bowman held several director-level real estate and investment roles with the Chicago offices of Randolph Equities, a Private Equity firm, and SMB Asset Advisors, an asset management firm.

  During his time in business in Chicago, Bowman became very active as a mentor for at risk teenage youth, as well as volunteering in Chicago Public Schools. For  more than four years Bowman volunteered for eight to ten hours a week, and developed a passion to close the achievement gap for the students in Chicago’s Public Schools.

  Prior to working in Chicago, Bowman started his own investment firm which successfully acquired, developed, and sold a portfolio including retail, office, and multi-family assets.

  During his military career, Bowman held various leadership positions in Germany and Kosovo, managing logistical operations, equipment, and financial budgets for 3,000 basic training recruits and soldiers.

  Bowman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in American politics with a systems engineering minor from West Point, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, and is completing his Master’s in educational leadership through the Broad Residency.
