Citizen Teachers from NCCU School of Law have taught apprentices what it takes to be a lawyer – analyze a case, make a clear argument, and play the many different roles in the courtroom in a professional manner. Students will now present a case in front of a real judge!

Watch out Bobby Flay – Lowe’s Grove students are on their way to becoming top chefs! At this Junior Iron Chef WOW! students will prepare two different recipes and guest judges will declare a winner based on a presentation about healthy eating as well as teamwork in the kitchen.

For ten weeks 14 Cisco employees have been teaching apprentices 21st Century skills through apprenticeships such as Robotics, Space Weather, and Martial Arts Training. Join the celebration of what is possible when schools, families, and communities unite to make learning engaging!

Did you ever wonder how a video game is made or how to start your own business? Come out to Eastway and let our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students show you how it is done!

Students will showcase learning and skills developed through apprenticeships. The evening will feature unique trends from students in a Crazy for Color fashion show, tasty recipes from our Junior Iron Chefs, and technological feats by Robotics & Electrical Engineering students.

During this Neal WOW! event, the halls of the school will be filled with friends, family members, school faculty and community members as students demonstrate mastery of a variety of 21st Century skills developed through apprenticeships taught by volunteer Citizen Teachers.
