  
In 2008, the newest Citizen Schools campuses launch in New York City! Here, real-world learning means just that—the whole world is right outside the classroom door. At Citizen Schools, students explore the learning opportunities in their own communities and beyond.
After meeting with leaders at the New York City Department of Education and high-performing non-profit organizations to seek the right middle schools to introduce Citizen Schools to New York’s youth, more than 70 schools were nominated. The four selected sites, in East Harlem, Cobble Hill, and Fort Green, are now developing partnerships that will change students’ trajectories.Now, we need you to get involved.
