Citizen Schools at the Ivy Hill Elementary School serves as an academic and social resource for the bright, talented 5th, 6th and 7th grade students of Newark. Students who are willing to work hard, want to learn how to work smart, and are looking to have fun will thrive as members of the Citizen Schools learning community.
We believe that when students are provided the proper resources and support, they achieve great things for themselves, their families, and their communities. Citizen Schools provides trained, dedicated educators to serve as resources to Ivy Hill's young people. The Team Leaders at Citizen Schools are dedicated to learning, achievement, and growth. From AIM to apprenticeships, we help children take ownership of their learning, their school, and their city.
