There's a lot of great content in our regular features this month, but we wanted to start with three big announcements:
What's happening in our Alumni Community We have yet another double feature in our Mega Updates, this time featuring the Classes of 2004 and 2005. In addition, we have compiled a great collection of updates from a diverse group of regional and HQ Staff Alumni in the Alumni Notes section. This month's Alumni Profile features Asha Strazerro-Wild, who currently works at Project HEALTH. Find out how she combined her passion for public health and her newfound love for education after the Fellowship.
Our Tips from the Field section and our Inside Look section this month focus on building understanding. Check out the Tips from the Field section to garner some ideas about how to best check for understanding in the classroom. Check out An Inside Look for a review of a book on how to make change happen in situations where change is hard.
What's happening at Citizen Schools As we mentioned at the top, there is big job news from Citizen Schools this month. Check out our Jobs page for an announcement from Chief Talent Officer Kristin Brennan.
There are a number of ways to give back to Citizen Schools. We are still running our third annual Citizens for Citizen Schools campaign, and we appreciate your help and excitement for this campaign. Check out the How You Can Help section to find even more ways to support Citizen Schools in its mission.
We've got a bunch of great events coming up, including a special gathering for alumni and staff in California, a networking night in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and our WOW! Affair coming up in Boston. You can find out more on our Invitations and Events page. Also check out this page for a list of upcoming spring WOW!s.
Best, The Staff Alumni Engagement Team
