Meet a Team Leader

Emi studied psychology as an undergraduate and then received a Master’s degree in education. She joined Citizen Schools because she was interested in working with middle school-aged children. You’ll also be sharing your own experiences and interests with your students. This age group responds to—and acutely needs—positive adult influence. Emi observes that, “Middle school kids are intelligent beings. Their cognitive level is so high. They realize that they’re going to become adults and that adults are people, too, so they’re searching for connections.”
