A nonprofit position might require you to:
- Represent the organization to donors, potential employees, and volunteers

- Write newsletters detailing the progress of the organization, highlighting the work of specific departments, making pertinent announcements, and connecting employees with useful resources and information

The Fellowship has prepared you to do these tasks because as a Fellow you have:
- Tailored communication effectively to different audiences: families, students, teachers
- Effectively recruited and retained individual students, families, and Citizen Teachers
- Shared the responsibility for creating successful work environments on campus and at your partnership
- Submitted content to newsletters and e-briefs, clearly and concisely communicating pertinent information to school teachers, other Fellows, parents, Citizen Teachers, and other colleagues
Leadership, Initiative, & Problem Solving
A nonprofit position might require you to:
- Plan, organize, and execute events and fundraisers to network, publicize, and support the organization
- Create and manage databases of contacts, information, and resources; log and organize relevant data
- Communicate and collaborate with other staff members, and sometimes across departments, to launch initiatives, complete projects, and make changes
The Fellowship has prepared you to do these tasks because as a Fellow you have:
- Coordinated apprenticeships and planned your campus WOW! as a CTL
- Developed curricula and orchestrated teacher appreciation events as APL
- Managed data collection and input as DTL
- Organized family potlucks and social events as FSEL
Instructional Leadership
A nonprofit position might require you to:
- Hold trainings, lead meetings, and implement professional development for current and incoming staff
The Fellowship has prepared you to do these tasks because as a Fellow you have:
- Participated in and lead trainings for Citizen Teachers on how to most effectively participate in and contribute to the Apprenticeship Program
- Implemented objective-based instruction in the classroom and trainings for fellow staff members, which gives perspective on identifying priorities
- Worked collaboratively with CD and staff members with diverse campus roles to effectively deliver program
