Week 1
Apprentices will understand elements of advertising, how messages are delivered and how ads influence behavior
Week 2
Apprentices will analyze elements of an ad campaign and understand terms associated with advertising, such as mascot, logo, slogan
Week 3
Apprentices will understand which skills are used and the career options available in an advertising career
Week 4
Apprentices will understand which skills are used and the career options available in an advertising career
Week 5
Apprentices will develop a campaign slogan, determine media vehicles and analyze the audience for the campaign, including creating a pre and post campaign survey.
Week 6
Apprentices learn how to work in teams and how to create advertising messages - Apprentices are put onto creative teams based on skill/career interest.
Week 7
Apprentices learn how to work in teams and how to create advertising messages in print and social
Week 8
Apprentices learn how to work in teams and how to create advertising messages in video
Week 9
Apprentices learn how to launch a campaign and monitor and discuss campaign status
Week 10
Analyze survey results – compare pre and post survey answers, discuss lessons learned from the survey, what could we have done differently or better, how can they keep the campaign alive
